Ammonium ion selective electrodes have been prepared using nonactin as an ionophore and poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) or polyurethane(PU) as a polymer matrix with or without a plasticizer, bis(2-ethylhexyl)adipate, and their performances have been evaluated.
